Vandaag was mijn verjaardags-feestje

Vandaag vierden we mijn verjaardags feest. Ok de echte verjaardag is dan 25 November 2009 maar dan is het ook een andere feestdag in de USA namelijk "thanksgivingsday", zodat we ervoor hebben gekozen om mijn verjaardag vroeg te vieren.

Today we are celebrating my birthday. The real birthday wil be on november the 25th 2009 but that is too near to thanksgiving so we decided to celebrate early.
It almost got cancelled since I had food poisoning from bad chicken from Idaho.
But it was a fun evening eventhough not everybody that was invited was there.

Wendover Nevada

For adriaan's birthday we were invited over to wendover in Nevada for a 2 night stay in a luxury hotel/casino and I was invited to participate in a slot-machine contest.
I didn't win, but had fun playing.

invitation to Disney on Ice

June and Roy hoenike invited us to join them for an evening to Disney on Ice, "ice princess" show.
Unfortunatelly Roy is in a bad health state, so won't be able to join us, but we are happy to take June with us and meet the Gregerson family at the Arena.
What a great show.......

Today we went to Farmington in the north about 30 minutes from our house to
look at pumpkin carvings at city hall.
Arriving at city hall we found out that the artist had set up at a recreation center.
So we went to have a look, and here are some of the pic's of what we saw.
